Science and Technology Museum and Planetarium (Aug. 12, 2023)

I wanted to go to the Science and Technology Museum and the Planetarium.  I planned to do this with John because I thought John might be interested too.

Many of the exhibits were geared towards children and even reminded us of Wonderworks in Myrtle Beach.  There were a few exhibits on physics, biomedical, computer engineering, gears and circuitry.

We had reserved seats in the Planetarium and enjoyed a movie narrated by John Billingsley from Star Trek.  It was mostly about the Earth, moon and all of the planets.  I teach much of this in the 6th grade astronomy class so I was very interested in all of it.

We learned about Indian's involvement in the space program.  They were involved in the space race back in the 1960''s, which I taught in my 6th grade science class.

There were exhibits on astronomy and some exhibits on rockets and space.

Trivandrum has a big space program with a large campus.  They are still very involved in space exploration.  They have satellites in India too.

Vivian's head served on a platter.

There was another building that housed electricity exhibits and even a floor dedicated to math.  Solving equations, Pythagorean theorem visual explanation, Fibonacci sequence visual explanation and more.  I loved all of that!

We stood in front of various shaped mirrors.  John was technically too tall for many of the mirrors.  He couldn't even see himself in them.

Indians are shorter and more petite in general.  I wear a size L or XL over here.  John would definitely be XL but maybe even XXL because of his height.

John sent the slinky down the stairs.

We both sat on a chair of nails.

Lots of people are staring at us all day long...

Fun, fun!!
